Domenico Berardi has revealed he would choose to join Premier League side Liverpool should he leave Sassuolo.
Berardi, who has made 211 appearances after coming through the ranks the Italian side could make a move to a bigger club after an impressive performance. Liverpool are among clubs the forward has been tipped to join while he has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan and AC Milan. However, Berardi has confirmed that his ideal move would be to Anfield.
"If an offer arrives, be it from Milan or another club, I will evaluate it with my club," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"And if I hear that it is the right proposal, to be taken on the fly, this time I will say to Sassuolo: 'I'll take it'. Being able to choose, I would play in Liverpool. Changing remains difficult for me, but it no longer frightens me, I would do it. The next goal is to play in Europe, but at a club where I can be used a lot, if not always. That is my priority."
The 24-year-old has scored nine goals and created five more to help Sassuolo to 10th place in Serie A this season.
