Bloemfontein Celtic chairman Max Tshabalala has simply rebuffed the reports that he has sold the club’s Absa Premiership status to Ajax Cape Town.
Just as the rumours grew stronger since Monday, Celtic’s big boss has come out to set the record straight.
“Look, that’s not true. Ari (Efstathiou, Ajax CEO) and I know each other very well. We haven’t spoken (about the sale)," Tshabalala told Soccer Laduma.
Tshabalala believes that the gossip has been all created to disrupt the financially struggling football club.
“If Ari wanted to do something, he would have spoken to me. Likewise, I would have done the same, you understand? These rumours are just to destabilize the team.
In all of these stories about the sale, there is nowhere that I or Ari have been quoted confirming. It’s just sources,” said Tshabalala.
