Jose Mourinho on Pep Guardiola winning more titles than him

When asked about Pep Guardiola having more trophies than him, former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho noted that he would have won more trophies than the Spanish tactician had he stayed at Porto and Inter Milan.

Guardiola is on course to clinch a domestic treble this season having already secured the English Premier League and the Carabao Cup and is set to face Watford in the FA Cup final this weekend. The former Bayern Munich coach has won a total of 26 major trophies compared to Jose Mourinho's 25 but the Portuguese has had a longer managerial career.

In an interview with L'Equipe, Mourinho was asked about Guardiola having more trophies than him, "No, no, it reminds me that I'm there, with 25 titles. When I won the Champions League with Porto and Inter Milan, if I had stayed, the season after I would have had the European Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and the national Super Cup and perhaps I would have ended up with 31 titles. Maybe I'm not so focused on the figures!"
