After winning the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) trophy, Enyimba coach Usman Abdalla may be exiting the Aba club.

According to reports, Katsina United have opened talks with Abdalla.

He has already visited Katsina to meet with the leadership of ‘The Changi Boys’ with a view to taking over from coach Abdullahi Biffo after the club barely survived relegation.

Biffo’s contract at Katsina United is not likely to be renewed.

Abdalla himself fueled speculations over his future at Enyimba when he said he was undecided about what next for him after leading Enyimba to win the NPFL championship playoffs in Lagos.

He said he could take up a fresh challenge or go back to school to upgrade his coaching badges.

He led Enyimba to reach the semi-final of last year’s CAF Confederation Cup as a temporary replacement for Paul Aigbogun, who quit to focus on his Flying Eagles role.

Katsina United showed ambition this past season when they signed Super Eagles goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
