Former Manchester City and Liverpool forward Craig Bellamy has reunited with the Blues former captain Vincent Kompany at Anderlecht.
The Welshman was unveiled as the Belgian club's new U21 manager as he joins Kompany's backroom staff on a three-year contract after leaving his role in Cardiff City's academy. Kompany will be officially unveiled as Anderlecht's new player-manager this coming Tuesday after he left City on a free transfer this summer.
The Club's Director Jean Kindermans was excited with the appointment of Bellamy, " We are very happy with Craig’s arrival at RSC Anderlecht. He has a lot of experience and will be a great mentor for our youth players mentally speaking, but also in terms of football skills. As coach of the U21 team, his task will be to prepare our young talents for the first team."
