Ghana's Black Stars have left their camp in Dubai for Egypt ahead of the start of the Africa Cup of Nations tournament, which kicks off today, June 21st.
The Stars ended their three-week camp in Dubai, where they played two friendly matches; a 1-0 loss to Namibia before a 1-1 draw against South Africa's Bafana Bafana.
The team, which has a good mix of old and young players will be gunning to end their 37-year wait for the elusive continental trophy in Egypt.
They are pooled in a relatively fair group, with their main challengers being the defending champions, Cameroon.
Minnows Guinea-Bissau and Benin complete Group F, with the Stars expected of easily making it out of the group stages.
They will be buoyed by the fact that they have made it to the semifinals in the last six editions, and are considered among the favourites for this tournaments, just like the previous tournaments.
They will be based in Ismailli, where they will play two of their group games before moving to Suez for another game.
Their first assignment will be against Benin.
