2008 Kenyan Premier League champions Mathare United have what seems to be the toughest start to the 2019/20 league season.
The Francis Kimanzi coached charges begin their campaign with a tie against Bandari FC; both teams having been billed as potential title challengers last season.
After the tie against Kenya’s CAF Confederations representatives next season, Mathare comes up against Tusker FC in the second game. A tie against Ulinzi Stars and Kariobangi Sharks comes in their third and fourth weeks respectively.
The team who finished eighth last season then take on league newbies Wazito FC in their fifth match of the season.
Defending champions Gor Mahia will open their campaign with a tie against Tusker FC, before taking on Chemelil Sugar FC, KCB FC, Nzoia Sugar FC, and Zoo Kericho in their first five games.
For Bandari, after their opening day clash against Mathare United, a tie against Zoo Kericho, Sony Sugar FC, Posta Rangers, and Sofapaka FC comes in their first five weeks.
Tusker should be another team with a tricky start to the season, after their opening game against Gor, they come against Mathare United then Zoo Kericho in their first three games. A tie against Sofapaka and Kakamega Homeboyz then follow.
