Rwandese striker Jacques Tuyisenge has thanked the Gor Mahia fans as he moves to Angola to start a journey with Petro Atletico.
The striker joined Gor Mahia at the start of the 2016 season from Police FC in a deal believed to be worth Ksh 4M and has been a constant performer for the side both in the Kenyan Premier League and in the continental scene.
His association with the Kenyan giants came to an end in June last month when Angola’s Petro Atletico, who Gor met in the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup last season announced that they acquired the services of the striker.
In a tweet, Tuyisenge thanked the entire Gor Mahia family for the time they spent together and asked them for their prayers as he begins a new journey in the South African nation.
Apart from Tuyisenge, Gor Mahia lost midfielder Francis Kahata to Simba SC of Tanzania with a chunk of players released to pave way for new faces.
Among those dropped by the team include Ugandan Erisa Ssekisamabu, Pascal Ogweno, goalkeeper Shaban Odhoji, Cercidy Okeyo among others.
Let me grab this chance to express my gratitude to the big @OfficialGMFC family for the 3 and a half years we have been together, Most especially the Gor mahia fans, and as well kindly request you to pray for me to be successful in my new journey. Also Big thanks goes to @SportPesa pic.twitter.com/S0KEb7cSN5— Tuyisenge Jacques (@Tuyisenge250) July 28, 2019
