Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola said he has redeemed his promise to the Super Eagles.
Otedola pledged $25,000 to the Super Eagles for every goal scored at the semi final match against Algeria. Nigeria ended up scoring just one as they lost 2-1.
The Super Eagles went on to win the bronze medal and have since been hosted by the Nigerian government.
Otedola posted on Instagram on Tuesday that he has kept to his word by redeeming his pledge.
"Integrity is keeping your word. I redeemed my pledge of $25000 per goal to representatives of the Super Eagles (L-R) Chidi Ngoka (Equipment Manager), Enebi Achor (Team Manager) and Defender Kenneth Omeruo today in my office ⚽️ …F.Ote💲"
Otedola's post came alongside a picture of him and his three visitors.
Algeria, who beat Nigeria in the semi final, went ahead to win the AFCON 2019.
