Zambia Super League side Buildcon were handed a shock one nil defeat on Saturday at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie by Eswatini outfit Young Buffaloes.
The Ndola based side was making their debut in the CAF Confederation Cup and was hoping to start off on a good note being the hosts in the tie.
Coach Tenant Chembo took charge of his first competitive game following the departure of Srdan Zivojnov. Chembo named a youthful side and gave youngsters Emmanuel Mwiinde and Biston Banda their debuts for the club and in the competition.
Mpendulo Dlamini's first-half strike was all that the Eswatini side needed to collect their first win on Zambian Soil as they stunned Team Kopala one-nil in front of their fans. Previously their trips to Zambia ended in defeats, They were beaten 5-0 by Zesco United in 2011 and 2-0 by Green Eagles last year.
