Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored two goals in his first game for Lille on Sunday.
The 20-year-old announced his arrival in France when he made his Ligue 1 debut with a brace, helping Lille beat Nantes 2-1.
Osimhen, who signed for the French side from Club Brugge, opened scoring for Lille in the 19th minute.
Nantes equalised when Zeki Celik deflected Andrei Girotto’s strike into his own net six minutes after the break for the first goal of Christian Gourcuff’s reign as coach.
But Osimhen netted the winner in the 80th minute with a powerful strike to get Lille off to a bright start.
