FC Porto have placed a €4m price-tag on Nigerian defender Chidozie Awaziem.
The central defender has attracted interest from French Ligue 1 club, FC Nantes following an impressive performance at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations for the Super Eagles.
But things are being slowed down and the asking price of €4m is the major cause.
“The move away from Porto is happening soon. At one point, it seemed impossible, but as things have been going in the last few days, a deal could be struck this week but the €4m asking price is too high,” Babawo Mohammed, his representative was quoted on record.pt.
“The value is not yet right with FC Porto, but I believe that will not be a problem,” he added.
Awaziem is no stranger to Nantes as he has played on loan at the French side in the 2017–2018 season, making 22 appearances and scoring one goal.
