AFC Leopards snaps up Shivachi and Wonder

AFC Leopards has acquired the services of midfielder John Vincent Wonder from Vihiga Bullets for an undisclosed period.

Wonder becomes the latest midfielder to join the club in a span of two days after the club confirmed the signing of Collins Shichenje from Green Comandos in less than 24 hours ago.

Apart from Vihiga, the attacking midfielder has previously featured for Green Commandos, defunct Palos FC and Vihiga United.

Apart from Wonder, the club confirmed the acquisition of defender Collins Shivachi who previously featured for Tusker FC and Sofapaka FC. The defender coming in to replace Yusuf Mainge who is on his way to Slovakia. 


He joins compatriots Vincent Habamahoro, Robert Ayala, Soter Kayumba, Malian striker Ismaila Diarra, Ugandan goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, midfielder Tresor Ndikumana, and Hansel Ochieng as the new faces in the den.

The club had released Wayi Yeka, goalkeeper Eric Ndayishimiye who has already joined Rwandese side AS Vita, Ivan Sekazza and Marcel Kaheza, Aziz Okaka, Paul Were, David Ochieng and Shami Kibwana to give way for the new faces.

The club is still expected to sign a few players with the likes of Collins Shivachi and Yusuf Mohammed still training with the club as they fasten their preseason preparations.
