BREAKING: Orlando Pirates part ways with coach Micho

South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates have parted ways with head coach Milutin Sredojević the club has announced.

In a statement on their website, Pirates noted: “Milutin Sredojević relinquishes his position as Head Coach of Orlando Pirates Football Club after two seasons at the helm.

“The Club would like to place on record that this decision was taken unilaterally, and it was the management’s decision to accept Mr. Sredojević to vacate his position based on reasons he has presented which are of a personal nature.

“Rhulani Mokwena assumes coaching responsibilities assisted by Fadlu Davids and Franck Plaine.”


The news comes three days after Pirates lost 3-0 to Supersport United in the league this coming after their opening day win over Bloemfontein Celtic.

Pirates had gone down to Green Eagles in their first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round with the team now forced to take Fadlu Davids and Plaine in ensuring that they sail past Eagles in the second leg slated for August 23.
