Kenya had begun their campaign with a 3-1 win over Somalia in a match played on Friday with goals from Captain James Gachago, Andreas Odhiambo and Andrew Waliaula doing the business for them.
Attention for the Kenyans now shifts to their next game which will be against Burundi before wrapping up their group proceedings with a clash against hosts Eritrea on Thursday 22 August.
The Semi-Final of the competition is scheduled for Wednesday 28 August with the finals taking place on Friday 30 August.
