Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a war chest of £75million to spend when the transfer window reopens in January.
United only managed to rope in three players in the summer transfer window in the name of Daniel James, Aaron-Wan Bissaka and Harry Maguire. Solskjaer missed out on the signings of Bruno Fernandes, Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Christian Eriksen.
A striker and a central midfielder remain high on United's priority list and a move for Eriksen could be reignited should he fail to secure a move away from Tottenham before the European deadline as he will have just six months on his contract. United failed to make any signing in this year's January transfer window.
United fans were disappointed to make no further signings on deadline day, with #Woodwardout trending on Twitter by the evening as they sent a message to vice-chairman Ed Woodward over the lack of action.
