Ghana international and Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu is set to make a return from injury after he featured in the Magpies training session - this comes as a massive boost for manager Steve Bruce.
Atsu missed the commencement of the English Premier League season due to a hamstring injury blow that he endured during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament with the Black Stars.
The 27-year-old had to have his campaign cut short during Ghana's 0-0 stalemate with Cameroon - he was eventually flown back to England for further medical assessment.
However, the good news is that he was involved during Newcastle's training session on Tuesday, which suggests that he could be available for selection as they get ready to take Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.
The Magpies have not had a great start to the season as they lost their opening matches against Norwich City and Arsenal and they will be hoping that to come away with a win away from home - three points in the bag.
