Sony Sugar head coach James Nandwa has blamed their opening day loss at the hand of KCB FC on late registration of some of his new players.
Sony who lost a chunk of players last season are in a rebuilding process and paraded new faces in the KCB match but according to Nandwa who believes they will get good with time, their main undoing in the game was the lack of players he felt could have helped.
Situation with Officials
“As a coach I’m not happy because I lost not because of the players but I lost because of my situation with the officials. I have trained these players since I came here but I missed seven players I think could have helped us today due to late registration.
“I am confident that when I have the players at my disposal then we will perform well. The good thing is we have another two weeks to prepare ahead of our next game and because we already have everyone we wanted on board, I know things will be okay,” Nandwa told Futaa after the game.
After the FIFA International week where national teams will be involved in games, Sony travels to Sudi Stadium to take on Nzoia Sugar FC in their second game of the season.
