KCB coach feels the team can still improve despite beating Sony

KCB FC assistant head coach Godfrey ‘Solo’ Oduor believes his team can still improve despite their opening day 3-0 win over Sony Sugar away from home.

Oduor speaking after the game termed the win a good start to his team and one that will greatly improve their morale but insisted that they still have to do more work in training for improvement.

“We had planned to begin our season in a positive note and that’s what we exactly got. So I think moving forward this is a motivation to us. We are equal to the task (challenging in the league) but we are still not there yet. We need to train hard so there is still a big room on improvement,” Oduor told Futaa.

Quality of the Opponent

Asked about the quality of their opponent who virtually paraded a new team. Oduor said he was confident they will improve with time and that their aim of the season was to do better than last season.

Sony is a good team considering how they finished last season. They lost a lot of players but it's just a matter a time before they come good.

“It's just a different ball game in another season and we are working on is to do better than what we did last season,” Oduor added.

The win saw the bankers sit in position two on the log this after Gor Mahia’s emphatic win over Tusker FC.
