Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has been named in Tottenham Hotspur’s squad for the UEFA Champions League.
Wanyama was linked with a move away from Spurs but failed to sign for Belgium side Club Brugge on the deadline day as the transfer could not materialize. Despite the Kenyan international been seen as surplus to required by the head coach Mauricio Pochettino, he has been named in the 25 man Team A list for UCL.
The north London side is in group B alongside Germany giants Bayern Munich Olympiakos and Red Star Belgrade and begins their campaign away at Olympiakos on September 18.
