Former Super Eagles international James Okwuosa has signed for Al Qadsia SC.
The 28-year-old central defender has secured a two-year deal with the Kuwait side as a free agent since leaving South Africa’s Chippa United in January.
Okwuosa’s latest career move was revealed via BBC Africa on Thursday, which confirms the player’s ninth club since starting his career in 2009.
“Nigerian defender James Okwuosa has joined Kuwaiti top tier club Al Qadsia SC on a two-year deal as a free agent.”
“The 28-year-old has been capped twice by his country and played for South African clubs Ajax Cape Town, Orlando Pirates and Chippa United between 2012 and 2019,” added the BBC.
The Ogbaru-born left-footer will for the first time in five years play his football outside South Africa. His original clubs in Nigeria included El-Kanemi Warriors, Lobi Stars, and Enugu Rangers International.
