Gor Mahia opponents in the CAF Champions League USM Algers are back in training after a two-day strike.
Algers have had financial problems in recent weeks with the players boycotting training at certain points ahead of their First-Round clash with Gor Mahia in Algeria.
In a statement on their social media accounts, Algers noted: “Players back to training.
“After two days of strike in protest against the club status. The players are back in training in preparation for the African Champions League game on Sunday 15 September against Gor Mahia.
Two Days Strike
“After two days of strike in protest against the situation of the club, the players decided to resume training today in order to prepare the best match of the 16th CAF Champions League final scheduled Sunday 15 September face At Gor Mahia.”
Gor has started the season on a brilliant note and eliminated Eagle Noir of Burundi in the last round; the tie being a grudge match of a sort after the same team denied them a chance to proceed past the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup in 2018.
