Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has been backed to outscore his Juventus counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo in the Serie A this season.
Speaking to Juvenews, former Inter attacker Andy van der Meyde said Lukaku was a fan of Italian football and his powerful physical presence will trouble defenders in the Italian league.
“Lukaku is a fan of Italian football and I think he's made for this competition. He is strong and can score many goals. He has a very powerful physical structure and this will put all Italian defenses in crisis.
Easily Beat Ronaldo
"Lukaku can easily beat Ronaldo. He has always shown that he knows how to score wherever he has played, he is a pure center-forward, while Cristiano plays most of the time out wide,” Meyder said.
Lukaku joined the Antonio Conte coached side from Manchester United for a club-record fee and has already scored two goals league goals in as many matches; the Belgium striker managing just 12 goals last season for his former club.
On the other hand, Ronaldo who bagged four goals against Lithuania on Tuesday has scored only a goal this season in the league but bagged 21 in his debut season in the Serie A last season.
