Nigerian striker Joe Aribo is excited to score on his international debut for Nigeria.
Aribo scored a 3rd minute goal to open his international goal account in a friendly against Ukraine on Tuesday.
Nigeria had taken a two-goal lead, thanks to first half goals from the Rangers forward and Victor Osimhen, but Ukraine bounced back with two quick goals from Oleksandr Zinchenko and Yaremchuk to end the tie at 2-2.
Reacting to his goal, Aribo posted on Twitter his excitement to achieve the feat, though the Super Eagles failed to hold on to a two-goal lead.
"Buzzing to make my debut for @NGSuperEagles unfortunate with the result but happy to score on my debut, a special day for me & my family and one I’ll remember. Thank you God."
Aribo played his first international game wearing the number 10 last used by John Obi Mikel at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
