Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed the Spanish giants made several approaches for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Perez says Munich refused to let their goal poacher leave who ended up signing a new contract with the Bundesliga giants last week.
"There are players who don't get sold," Florentino told Marca.
"We went for Lewandowski for several years, but nothing happened because he has no clause and Bayern Munich won't sell him,” he added.
"There's no way. And that's happened with Pogba. When certain players can be sold, we can go for them."
