Players at Caps United want payment increases. The Zimbabwe Premier League club has seen the squad abscond from training in a spirited protest.
The technical team’s preparation for this afternoon’s training session came to nothing. CAPS United footballers were not to be seen.
According to ZTN Sports, player agents and the club's hierarchy acted quick to arrange a meeting this afternoon. The core grievance is reported to be what the players describe as a lack of respect from management.
“Both parties are agreed on the need to increase the bonuses and it’s just a matter of agreeing on figures,” said a source at the club.
“It’s not exactly a train smash but an industrial dispute that can be ironed out on the negotiation table,” added the source.
Meanwhile, The Green Machine have a league clash coming. The side are expected at Harare City next Wednesday afternoon at the Rufaro Stadium.
