Moi Stadium, Kisumu will no longer be Gor Mahia’s home venue, says club’s chairman Ambrose Rachier.
And now the Kenyan Premier League defending champions will play their match against Chemelil Sugar as the visitors instead of hosts. Rachier confirmed this as reported by the club’s Twitter account citing low gate collection returns due to fraud.
“Thursday's match against Chemelil to be played in Kisumu as Gor Mahia will be the away team,” said Ambrose.
Gor Mahia will now put their focus on the KPL match against the Millers on Thursday 19th after a disappointing first leg in the CAF Champions League following a 4-1 loss to Algerian side USM Alger.
