UCL: Three Salzburg youngsters to look out for

Austrian Bundesliga giants Redbull Salzburg will this evening start their UEFA Champion League group stage campaign when they host Belgian outfit KRC Genk at the Redbull Arena.

The 2017/2018 UEFA Europa League semifinalists have proved to be a good side in the recent past and ate known for grooming young talents who shipped off to other clubs. Liverpool duo of Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are just two of the main players who have come through the Salzburg ranks.

Futaa now looks at three players who could win them this evenings match and possibly go on to make a mark on this UEFA Champions League campaign.

Erling Braut Håland

The 19-year-old striker came to the limelight on 30 May 2019 after he scored nine goals in Norway's 12–0 win against Honduras at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Lublin, Poland.

This was Norway's biggest ever win and Honduras' heaviest ever defeat. This also set a new U-20 World Cup record for most goals scored by a single player in a match, and also the biggest win by any team in the history of the tournament. The teenager has followed up with an impressive goal haul of 11 in seven league appearances for Salzburg so far this season.

Håland is expected to lead the attack and definitely the biggest asset for Salzburg in front of goal this evening.                                                                                         
Dominik Szoboszlai

The 18-year-old Hungarian midfielder is one of the most consistent performers for Die Mozartstädter. Szoboszlai is a creator in the middle of the field and can score goals.

Domi as he is fondly referred to, Is also a very good set-piece taker as evidenced by his beauty of a free-kick for Hungary in their 2-1 loss to Slovakia in a Euro 2020 qualifier. In the same game for his country, Domi had 97.2 % passing accuracy.                             
Patson Daka

The 20 years old Zambian forward netted a brace over the weekend as Salzburg humiliated TSV Hartberg 7-2. The 2017 CAF young player of the year uses his pace to beat defenders and has an eye for goals.

Daka will be expected to lead the attack alongside Håland and will provide the biggest danger for the Genk defense and all those in group E.
