Serie A sides AC Milan and Roma are reportedly in the process of monitoring Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye and could go head to head in a bidding war.
Boakye is currently enjoying a top form season with the Serbian champions having scored four goals already.
Football outlet Hotsport revealed that scouts from both teams were watching Boakye in Tuesday night’s Champions League game against Olympiakos.
The reports add that the scout was impressed with the output of the striker whose 90th-minute strike sealed a 3-1 victory for Olympiakos.
His agent Olivier Arthur confirmed the interest of the two clubs but was quick to add that he will always prioritize the player’s interest and future.
“The interest of the clubs exists and it is important that they continue to confirm their qualities continuously. The deadline will be in January and then we will be able to talk about the next steps.”
