African stars shine brightly every weekend around Europe, and we've picked out three players that stood out in the latest round of Premier League matches.
🇬🇭 Jordan Ayew
The hard-working Ghanaian star put in another tireless display for Crystal Palace on the road and he was rewarded with the match-winner after VAR reviewed his close-range effort in the 86th minute. Palace has now collected 28 Premier League points on the road in 2019, third only to Man City's 33 and Liverpool's 30 in that department.
Now permanently on the books of Crystal Palace after a loan spell last season, Ayew looks well settled and will no doubt be an asset for Roy Hodgson on countless more away trips.
🇿🇼 Marvelous Nakamba
Aston Villa's new hardman turned out an energetic performance as the Villains notched an emphatic 5-1 win away to fellow promoted side Norwich City. The 25-year-old has quickly become a fan favourite in the centre of the park after his summer move from Club Brugge.
The Zimbabwean had 50 touches of the ball, completed 31 passes, made six clearances and won four duels in a complete midfield display.
🇸🇳 Sadio Mané
After Liverpool's dramatic, stoppage-time win over Leicester at the weekend, the Senegal superstar now boasts the most-ever matches at single Premier League ground without defeat, having never lost at Anfield in 51 outings. Sadio scored his 50th Premier League goal for Liverpool in his 100th top-flight appearance when he nonchalantly stroked his side into the lead.
