CAF has announced that the second leg Champions League First Round clash between Zamalek and Generation Foot will still take place at a date to be announced in Cario.
Zamalek changed the venue of the clash hours to the game a move which angered Generation Foot as they traveled back home and failed to honor the clash. According to the CAF handbook, the venue of a match should not be done later than 24 hours to the kick-off of a match.
Although the change in venue had been approved by CAF, the African football governing body on Tuesday decided that the match will still take place. The Senegalese side hold a 2-1 advantage and will need a draw of any kind to confirm their place in the Champions League group stages.
