Zimbabwean duo FC Platinum and Triangle United have another chance to make continental history.
The path to a first-ever CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup quarter-final progression has been laid. Platinum and Triangle have been given their directions to plan mission trips to places such as Egypt, Tunisia, and Mauritania.
Triangle first have final play-off round. United will take a two-legged tie against Mauritania’s FC Nouadhibou. Success in the battle will seal group stage entry.
The first leg will be away in the north on October 27, before United host the return leg on November 3.
In the more premier competition, Pure Platinum have been set with some really big boys. Last night’s draw confirmed Group B pairing with seven-time champions Al Ahly. The remaining slots feature Tunisia’s 2017 CAFCL champions Etoile du Sahel - while Sudan’s Al Hilal fill the final spot.
The match events will get underway on the weekend of 19-20 November.
