Francis Kimanzi hoping return of Victor Wanyama can propel Harambee Stars to victory

Ahead of their International Friendly against Mozambique, Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi is hoping that the return of captain Victor Wanyama in his squad can thrust his side to victory.

Kimanzi missed a number of key players in the last international break where Kenya registered a 1-1 stalemate against Uganda. Victor Wanyama, Joseph Okumu, and Yusuf Mainge all missed the match due to injuries and club commitments but have now linked up with Harambee Stars.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference, Kimanzi hoped the new additions will propel Stars to a win, "The match we had against Uganda was a draw, you can never always rely on a draw as a positive result but it is always the beginning of something better maybe but what is important is the players that we had at that time did a good job.

"Tomorrow we have players who missed the first match including our captain, Wanyama but they will now be joining us. I believe with the new inclusion we good get something better."

Stars are however without a number of players as well with Ayub Timbe, Eric Johanna, Masud Juma, and Ismael Gonzalez all missing.
