Rwandese striker Jacques Tuyisenge opened his goal-scoring account in Angola after helping Petro Atletico to a 3-1 win over Cubango in a league match played on Saturday 12 October as the Stadium 11 November.
Tony Casano gave the Girabola giants a 31 minute lead from the spot before Tuyisenge doubled their lead in the 40th minute but the visitors halved their lead before the break. Cubango was to ensure the points were safe with another goal in the second half.
The goal was Tuyisenge’s first since leaving Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia at the end of last season and attention for him now shifts to the national team where Rwanda is slated to take on Tanzania in a friendly on Monday 14 October in Kigali.
Climbing to Fifth
The win saw Petro rise to fifth on the league log with 13 points after seven rounds of games this being three points below leaders CRD Libolo who has played a game more.
Next for Tuyisenge and co is a tie against Interclube on 18th October with their opponents who have recorded the same statics as them (Four wins, two draws, and one loss) placed fourth in the league standings.
