REPORTS: Inter Milan to launch January bid for Chelsea striker

Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly weighing up a January move for Chelsea center-forward Olivier Giroud according to Tuttosport.

Giroud has been reduced to a bench role at Chelsea with the France manager Didier Deschamps intimating that the striker should look for more game time elsewhere if he is to be called to the national team.

Giroud’s whose current deal at Stamford Bridge expire next summer has not featured for the Blues in the Premier League since the end of August with manager Frank Lampard preferring young Englishman Tammy Abraham to lead the line.

Last Three Games

The 33-year-old has not even made the bench for Chelsea's last three league fixtures, and there have been suggestions that he could leave in a cut-price deal during the January transfer window.

Tuttosport claims that Inter is considering a mid-season swoop for the 2018 World Cup winner after learning that Alexis Sanchez is facing a period on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Sanchez is already in Barcelona to see a specialist and a surgery has been muted on the 30-year-old something that might see him ruled out for the better part of this season.
