Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that Mohamed Salah had no chance of playing in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United but could return for their Champions League clash against Genk.
Salah picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 win over Leicester City but was expected to make a return in the game against United. The Egyptian, however, missed the clash as Liverpool struggled against United but were saved by a late goal by Adam Lallana as they walked away with a point.
Speaking just before the game, Klopp provided an injury update on Salah, "What can I say? Mo was not ready, so that’s how it is. He could not train with the team. I don’t know where it came from he might play. There was no chance. Maybe Wednesday, we will see."
Liverpool travel to take on Genk in the UEFA Champions League clash salted for Wednesday 23rd October before hosting Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
