Ghana international Asamoah Gyan is in contention to make his league debut for NorthEast United against Indian Super League champions Bengaluru on Monday according to Goal.
Gyan joined NorthEast on a free transfer in September from Turkish Super Lig outfit Kayserispor - his football resumes boast countries such as England, France and Italy to name a few.
The Indian Super League is said to have officially kicked off the 2019/20 season on Sunday with only one match played - Kerala Blasters secured a 2-1 victory over ATK.
“NorthEast United is a completely different team with a different coach. It is going to be a tough game for us," Head coach Carles Cuadrat was quoted as saying by Indian publication Business Standard.
"We have no idea about what NorthEast is going to offer. They have made some good signings like Asamoah Gyan.”
