Manchester United have been handed a major injury boost ahead of Europa League match against Partizan Belgrade tonight after winger Jesse Lingard being declared fit.
Lingard, who has struggled with injury throughout the season has regained match fitness and is expected to be available for selection tonight. United have a tricky away trip to Serbia as they look to end their poor form this season. Ahead of the clash, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the England international has fully recovered.
"It’s fantastic to have him (Lingard) back fit. He’s been so lively and bubbly in training,” he told MUTV.
"I don’t know how much game time we’ll give him but he looks like he needs to catch up on lost time. It’s been fantastic to see him with a big smile. I know Jesse from before. Of course, now we expect him – and I think he expects – to kick on,” he added.
Despite Lingard’s return, Manchester United will need to play out of their skins if they need to get the results in their favor and move further in the competition from a tricky group.
The match will kick off at 7:55 PM EAT at Stadion FK Partizan.
