Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has urged the club to ensure they reinforce their striking department and sees Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe as a perfect fit.
The Red Devils have endured a torrid start to the new season, and their lack of firepower is worrying to the former player.
United have struggled in the opening months of the current campaign, dropping to 14th place in the Premier League after nine matches.
The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer-led side lost key strikers Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan in the summer, with no replacements signed.
Marcus Rashford, alongside Antony Martial, are the only two marksmen left at the club, with the latter only returning from injury.
Rashford has managed four Premier League goals this campaign, including one against Liverpool last weekend.
"If you ask me, I would break the bank for Mbappe, but now it's too late," said Saha while speaking exclusively to Compare.Bet.
"But, when you look at strikers, it's a dying breed. Lewandowski is a rare example of someone who is left, and I don't see many players that can easily fit upfront. I had views on some strikers like (Atalanta's Duvan) Zapata who I think is a decent player, very strong,"
United will be in action again on Thursday night in a tricky Europa League match away to Partizan Belgrade.
They are currently second in the group, with their opponents leading the standings.
