Rohr: Super Eagles not a second option for Tomori

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr believes that the team should not be seen as a second option for Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

The 21-year-old is still eligible to represent Nigeria after failing to make his England debut in the last international break against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.

In case Tomori is having a second thought to play for Nigeria, Rohr has ruled out such possibility.

"He picks where he is comfortable and we wish him the best with England.

"No point thinking we can have him back as it will be dangerous if we allow players to view our team as second option when all fails, I think we are bigger than that. I hope he succeeds with England."

Rohr will soon announce his squad for two key games against Republic of Benin and Lesotho in November.
