Sony Sugar FC head coach James Nandwa has opened up on the troubles they are facing in the Kenyan Premier League since the start of the season.
Sony who has already dished two walkovers went down 4-3 to Wazito FC in week eight of the league action and according to Nandwa, his team had arrived in Machakos the same day after traveling at night.
“We traveled in the night this just after a three-day training. We arrived on the morning of the match and it showed in the match more so in the first half because we have not warmed well. We did try our best in the second half and these are just some of the problems we are facing as a team,” Nandwa told Madgoat Tv,
The tactician, however, lauded his charges for giving their all in the game and believed they could at least walked home with a point were it not for the bad officiating.
“We have played well but we have to develop football and package it in a way that it’s attractive to everyone. That is not going to happen with such kind of officiating which was wanting today. I’ve lost games before and I’m one person who accepts defeat when it’s warranted but their winning goal was offside. You can replay the clip and see.
“We must tighten up defensively and put a bit of work in the midfield. I don’t have any problems with the strike force because we have been scoring goals in our games,” Nandwa added.
Next for Sony Sugar is a home tie against Mathare United.
