Three frontrunners for vacant Bayern Munich managerial post

Bayern Munich relieved Niko Kovac of his duties as Bayern Munich manager on Sunday night following recent struggles in the Bundesliga.

The German-Croatian has been in charge of the Bundesliga Champions and won the double last season following his appointment in 2018.

Hia exit comes a day after Bayern were whitewashed 5-1 by Eintracht Frankfurt in a League match.

Following his exit, who are the candidates to replace him at the helm?

Jose Mourinho

The former Chelsea and Manchester United has been out of active management since leaving Old Trafford in November 2018.

The Portuguese has been linked with a host of teams including Bayern rivals Borussia Dortmund and Arsenal, and could be available to replace Niko.

Massimo Allegri

It's only natural that the former Juventus boss is linked with the job. He has been working at the highest level and this can represent another opportunity to coach a top team in another league.

Just like Mourinho, he has not been in management since leaving at the end of last season, and sis said to be taking a sabbatical.

But with a top job available, all that can change.

Arsene Wenger

The 'professor' is another frontrunner for the job. He has not been involved much in management since leaving Arsenal last year and will be eager to give another shot at management.
