Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr may cease to be coach of the Nigeria national side when his contract expires in June 2020.
Rohr took over the job in August 2016 and qualified Nigeria for the 2018 FIFA World Cup where the Super Eagles crashed out in the group stage.
The 66-year-old then took Nigeria to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where the team finished third behind Algeria and Senegal.
Completesports.com reliably gathered on Thursday that NFF President, Amaju Pinnick is presently not keen on renewing Rohr’s contract once it expires in June.
It, however, remains to be seen if Pinnick, who according to another source, is being prevailed upon by chieftains of the soccer house to have a change of mind, will heed to the pleas.
Meanwhile, the German is getting set for two AFCON 2021 qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho on November 13 and 16 respectively.
The game against Benin will be played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo before the team travel to Lesotho for the second fixture.
