Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay is a doubt for weekend's Premier League clash with Brighton.
McTominay suffered an injury on Thursday night during United's 3-0 win over Partizan Belgrade in a Europa League match. The midfielder was taken off the field with 15 minutes remaining as his side secured a place in the last 32 of the Europa League.
Aleksandar Scekic's challenge left the 22-year-old on the turf, clutching his ankle and could not continue playing as Jesse Lingard was brought in his place. After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he doesn't know if the midfielder will recover in time to face Brighton at home.
"I don’t know how bad it will be. But he said he was going to be okay but then he couldn’t [continue] so hopefully, he’ll be okay for Sunday, I don’t know," he said.
United are currently 10th on the log with 13 points ahead of their encounter with Brighton who are above them having accumulated two more points.
