Napsa Stars continued their good run as they thrashed Kabwe Youth 3-0 while Green Eagles came from a goal down to beat Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 2-1 at Nshinde Stadium.

MAVUGO NETS BRACE AS NAPSA GO SECOND

Napsa Stars went into their match against KYSA knowing a win would take them to second place while their opponents were hoping to move from the bottom of the table. The Pensioners started strong and took the lead just after five minutes, Collins Sikombe getting on the end of a Doisy Solo pass to slot home from close range and put Napsa Stars in the lead.

In the second half Burundian striker Laudit Mavugo stole the show scoring his first goal of the season eleven minutes after the start of the second stanza before adding his second and Napsa's third four minuted later to complete an emphatic 3-0 win and send Napsa Stars to second place with 21 points leapfrogging Red Arrows.

At Shinde Stadium, Green Eagles came from a goal down to beat Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 2-1. Badidi Katende put Wanderers in the lead seven minutes into the second half but goals from Gozon Mutale and Hosea Silwimba turned things around and gave the visitors a well deserved 2-1 win to see then move to 6th place on the log.

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Power dynamos woes have continued as they gave up a 1-0 lead to draw one-all with Buildcon. Christian Ntouba Epoupa put Power dynamos in the lead while Eric Kabulo leveled matters with his first goal in Buildcon colors 1-1 the match finished.
