Neymar's father rules out a return to Barcelona

Neymar Junior will not return to Barcelona according to the player’s father who also doubles up as his agent.

Neymar was a subject of a summer move back to Laliga with Barcelona being his possible destination and rumors were rife that the Laliga giants were going to make another bid in the coming summer to have him back at Camp Nou.

Speaking to ESPN Brazil about the possibility of him going to Spain to negotiate a deal for his son, Neymar Senior said: “This is not the case. I’m in Brazil and stay here.”

Desire to Leave

Neymar had expressed his desire to leave Paris Saint Germain over the summer following disagreements with the club board. At one point the club hierarchy stated that the Brazilian was never going to feature for them again.

The 27-year-old attacker has been curtailed with injuries in recent months and missed the Copa America in the summer, and has made just five appearances for PSG this season.

Apart from Barcelona, Neymar was linked with a move to Real Madrid with Spanish outlet Marca reporting that PSG has placed a €290m price tag on the player and are willing to engage in negotiations with interested parties.

Neymar joined PSG in 2017 from Barcelona on a deal world record fee worth €222m.
