Tottenham Hotspurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is fighting to save his career at the North London club according to reports from the Telegraph.
The Argentine who led the club to a surprise Champions League final run earlier this year has had a disappointing start to the season and are currently sitting 14th on the league following their weekend draw with newbies Sheffield United.
The Telegraph reports that the former Southampton man might be shown the door if he fails to conjure a result in their next tie against West Ham United after the international break.
Talks with Players
It is claimed that the Argentine held talks with staff and players at their training base this week as he aims for a solution to Spurs’ struggles.
Spurs struggles are believed to be emanating from disgruntled players who had expressed their desire to leave the club. Danny Rose was left out of some of the preseason games to talk to other clubs, Christian Eriksen still unwilling to ink a new deal with defenders Toby and Vertoghen said not to be settled.
Spurs have won just two of their last eight games in all competitions, with both of those victories coming against Red Star Belgrade.
Pochettino recently signed a five-year extension in north London and there are suggestions that it will cost the club £12.5m to sack him.
