Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez turned down moves to Manchester United and Arsenal in the summer.
Reports from Spanish portal Cadena Ser claims the 28-year-old had considered his future with the European giants following the departure of Zinedine Zidane but opted to stay after the re-appointment of the Frenchman.
But things haven’t turned well for the winger this season having started just four games of a possible 12 in Laliga.
Apart from the two English Premier League clubs, Bayern Munich was believed to be interested in the player. The winger has spent almost his entire professional career in Madrid except for a loan stint at Espanyol during the 14/15 season.
He did rack up 47 appearances in all competitions last season, including 31 domestically, scoring five times and assisting on four occasions.
Roma and Bayer Leverkusen were also reported by El Desmarque last month to have been keeping an eye on the player. Valued at around 20 million euros (£17 million), his sale could provide funds for Zidane as they seek to lure Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe.
The player has played 44 times for Madrid in Europe and has represented his country nine times since his debut in 2016.
