Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze has revealed that his ambition is to play in the English Premier League.
Since making his debut with Villarreal first team in 2018, Chukwueze has become a regular in the LaLiga.
The AFCON 2019 bronze medallist was in July revealed as one of the 50 youngsters to watch in world football by UEFA’s official website, with a worth of about $33 million
The 20-year-old said he is happy at Villarreal but still nurse the ambition of playing in the EPL.
“My ambition is to play in the Premier League, but I want to go to a club where I’m wanted, where I will be a starting player. Both the coach and club owner have to want me.” Chukwueze told reporters in Uyo ahead of Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against the Squirrels of Benin.
Liverpool were reported to be interested in signing Chukwueze as they look to replace Mohamed Salah who could leave in the summer.
