Rakitic unhappy at Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he is unhappy with his lack of first-team football at Nou Camp.

Rakitic opened up about tough times at Barcelona, losing his place in the starting XI after five years at Nou Camp. The Croatian has made ten appearances in ten matches this season, equivalent to 255 minutes, which is least by minute among the Catalan's seven midfielders.

"I've had the ball taken away from me and I'm sad about it. What I want is to continue having fun, that's the most important thing. I can only have fun by playing," he said.

"I understand and respect the decisions of the coach, the club, or anyone. I have given a lot during these five years at Barcelona and I want to continue to enjoy it. I'm 31, not 38, so I feel I'm at my best."

In the summer, Barca brought in Frankie de Jong from Ajax and the midfielder has played the most minutes among the midfielders in 16 games so far.
